Nurturing Brazil-China Civil Society Exchanges
We supported Brazilian and Chinese CSOs to build lasting relationships and deepen collaboration on climate, land, and just transitions.
Over two years from 2023 to 2024, Bambu Consulting supported a Brazil–China civil society exchange involving over 30 think tanks and NGOs. Through online dialogues, in-person workshops, and side events—spanning Zoom, COP28, and BrasÃlia—we created space for meaningful connections between organizations working on food systems, land use, de-carbonisation, and just transitions.
The goal was more than information-sharing: we focused on building trust, fostering cultural understanding, and supporting local ownership of the process. These relationships are now helping lay the groundwork for deeper bilateral collaboration—not only between civil society actors, but also across business, political, and diplomatic spheres.
