Understanding Global Civil Society Support Ecosystems
We co-authored a cross-regional report for INTRAC on strengthening support systems for civil society in dynamic contexts, especially across the Global South.
Working alongside senior consultants from Asia and South America, we contributed to a cross-country report led by INTRAC, an International NGO Training and Research Centre.
The report explores the ecosystem of support for civil society organizations (CSOs), particularly in the Global South, focusing on how CSOs access resources, how well the support landscape responds to their needs, and what sustains it over time.
It identifies key strengths and challenges in different country contexts and offers practical recommendations for donors and practitioners seeking to invest in, or engage with, these ecosystems. The report also highlights influential actors within these systems who could serve as valuable partners for future collaboration or funding.
